Venice Reflections

In October 2017, I experienced the delights of Venice, took many reference photographs and sketched. On returning to my studio in the Cotswolds, I set about the task of trying to recapture that Venetian magic. Twenty nine paintings and twelve months later, Venice Reflections has emerged, a very personal record of my interaction with the city. The text is comprised of extracts from the classic Venice by Jan Morris, described by the Sunday Times as “The best book about Venice ever written”.
